The Welsh family immigrated to Canada in 1855 from Scotland. Robert Welsh settled in the Scotland, Ontario area where he began the family farm. Premium sweet corn has been the dominant crop grown in their family since the 1930’s. Being located in Scotland, Ontario provides them with excellent sandy loam soil. It is an abundant fresh fruit and vegetable growing area which is why their family has farmed there for so many generations. At Welsh Bros. they are constantly striving to grow the best produce they can for their customers! They only hand pick their produce, no machine harvesters there! They believe that it is essential to have everything hand-picked and hand-graded to provide retailers and customers a premium product.

Welsh Bros at YFM: Welsh Bros. sweet corn is picked fresh every morning, and brought in chilled and delicious! The first taste of the season is usually in early July, and continues through early October!
