Berkel Greenhouse is a local hydroponic greenhouse striving to be the leading grower in Norfolk County while minimizing their environmental impact. The business was started in 1970 by Art Berkel, and they had two acres of greenhouses when his sons, Ted and Don, joined the team. Today the brothers, along with their wives Darlene and Juliet run eight acres of high-tech Venlo and poly greenhouses. They specialize is Beefsteak tomatoes, bell peppers, and cocktail tomatoes.
